CSS Naked Day 2010
Published 3 years 1 month ago on April 7, 2010
Although things have been quiet so far this year, I still plan on taking part in CSS Naked Day in 2010. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, CSS Naked Day is:
Where did my Design go?
The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and of course, a good ‘ol play on words. It’s time to show off your <body>.
How to participate
On April 9th, simply remove all CSS from your website, stripping it entirely of its design.
I’m a big proponent of CSS Naked Day and have participated since it’s inception in 2006. I think it’s a great way to promote Web Standards, even if it’s just around our very own community. While I don’t recommend participation on client sites or otherwise high profile projects, I think it’s a nice reminder for those of us in the industry.
Are you in?
